Remote Patient Monitoring

.

Although changes in blood pressure, weight, and other vital signs can be signs of potential health issues, it is not practical for our office to check these metrics daily in the office. Our RPM program decreases the number of visits to the office and the hospital by taking these measurements at home and sending them to our office staff for monitoring with the click of a button. We can watch your health and contact you if we have concerns. This can help prevent bigger health problems and help keep you out of the emergency room, nursing home, or hospital.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it complicated?
!
"

We recognize that you already have enough apps on your phone or may not feel confident using technology. That’s why for most of our monitoring no app is required and the easy to use monitoring machine can send data directly to our office via the click of a button. Our team can also send you reminders if you forget to take a reading.

Is RPM secure?
!
"

All data collected is shared with only our staff and is stored alongside your other stored data safely in our patient record system, Athena Health.

Is RPM covered by Medicare and commercial insurance?
!
"

Medicare Part B covers RPM. If you have supplemental Medicare coverage, you likely won’t have to pay anything. If you don’t have supplemental coverage, you may have a monthly copay. Coverage varies for commercial insurance. But don’t worry—we can help you determine if RPM is covered before you start.

Do I have to take a reading every day?
!
"

You should follow your doctor's instructions. This will likely be daily readings because they help us understand your health and provide the best possible care. Generally, we need at least 16 readings a month to create an accurate trendline of your health and best respond to changes.

Who can I contact with questions?
!
"

Specific members of our staff are tasked with monitoring your data and are here to answer questions as they arise. Anabel and Oscania are the main points of contact for such questions and will be the ones sending reminders or reaching out to you to follow up on your data. Our office manager Donna can be contacted at 978.762.6289 with problems with the functioning of your machines.
